HTC VIVE, a leading provider of virtual reality (VR) headsets, hardware and software solutions, has today announced the availability of a new five port USB-C charging dock for the VIVE Ultimate Tracker.
HTC VIVE stated that the five-in-one VIVE USB-C Dock offers VIVE Ultimate Tracker users an addition to their VR setup that will ensure all of their trackers are always charged, organized, and ready for use – whether for a multiplayer location-based entertainment (LBE) VR arcade, enterprise training scenario setup, or across gaming, fitness, VTubing, and more.
What is the maximum number of trackers that the VIVE USB-C Dock can charge simultaneously?
The VIVE USB-C Dock allows for the simultaneous charging of up to five VIVE Ultimate Trackers. HTC VIVE stated that trackers will reach a full charge in 3.5 hours with a 45W USB-C power adapter.
The accessory not only helps to streamline the process of charging multiple VIVE Ultimate Trackers at once, but also includes a storage slot for the companion VIVE Wireless Dongle, making it an all-in-one organizer and charger.
What is the VIVE Ultimate Tracker for?
The announcement was made in November of the previous year., the VIVE Ultimate Tracker is designed for all-in-one XR headsets and PC VR streaming. The VIVE Ultimate Tracker helps to enhance virtual interactions by offering precise, responsive tracking of movements and objects in 3D space. According to HTC VIVE, the device relies on two wide-field of view (FOV) cameras to accurately track its own position in 3D spaces. This eliminates the need for external tracking solutions such as base stations, making it a self-tracking device.The VIVE Ultimate Tracker easily connects with the VIVE XR Elite and VIVE Focus 3 VR headsets from the company. It also offers beta support for certain third-party headsets.
