DreamPark, a firm focused on crafting mixed reality and XR experiences that convert physical areas into engaging environments, has announced its recent acquisition of USD $1.1 million in seed funding. This financing round was directed by Long Journey Ventures and included contributions from Founders Inc.
The proceeds will aid DreamPark in widening its network of “access points” – tangible markers such as QR codes that, when scanned with a Meta Quest headset or via a mobile device, reveal digital overlays in real-world venues.
Moreover, DreamPark indicated that this funding will facilitate collaborations with entertainment intellectual property holders, an expansion of its nationwide rental Quest headset inventory, and the enhancement of its content creation and platform development teams.
The company has previously executed activations at Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade and the LA County Fair, with more installations planned for Seattle, Orange County, and various expos and corporate gatherings.

“We’re creating the largest theme park on the planet—one that is present everywhere and open to all,” said Brent Bushnell, co-founder and business officer at DreamPark. “This funding empowers us to swiftly broaden our access points throughout the nation, forge collaborations with prestigious IP holders, and continually advance our technology to provide enchanting experiences that entice individuals back to tangible settings.”
DreamPark asserted that its model serves as a budget-friendly alternative to conventional location-based VR facilities, and reportedly delivers a multiplayer experience “that recoups its costs within the first month of revenue.” Furthermore, the experiences necessitate no construction or enduring infrastructure, as stated by the company.
“We’re not only producing captivating content; we’re establishing a platform that revitalizes communities by giving individuals a reason to congregate, engage, and connect in actual spaces,” added Aidan Wolf, co-founder and CEO, DreamPark. “DreamPark merges the digital with the physical, crafting a novel category of play where the enchantment of virtual realms enhances real-life interactions. We’re rethinking the possibilities of transforming our environments into canvases for collective adventure and creativity.”
Cyan Banister, co-founder and general partner at Long Journey Ventures, remarked: “Aidan is a visionary creator of immersive frameworks, and Brent is a trailblazer in interactive public areas. They’ve unlocked the secrets of location-based AR, offering a 10x experience that’s as wondrous as it’s scalable.”
