VR MMORPG Zenith: Nexus is coming to Playstation VR 2 and starts Season 2
Zenith: Nexus is released for PSVR 2 and comes with the Season 2 update. With new bosses, spells and more, it’s off to the Frostrealms.
Zenith: Nexus is now available for Playstation VR 2 and includes the free season-based Zenith: Infinite Realms. As an add-on, you can also purchase the paid DLC Zenith: The Last City for $30.
The release for PSVR 2 coincides with the announcement of Season 2: Frostrealm for Zenith: Infinite Realms, which has been available since April 11, 2024. The Frostrealm update promises a wealth of new content, including a new biome, boss, lightning gesture spells, cosmetics, and bug fixes. Read the full patch notes at the end of this article.
Season Reset: What you need to know
In Season 2, the character level, skill tree, and Agent Rank progress will be reset, but the characters will keep their Zen, Dust, and any cosmetic items they have unlocked or purchased. Gear that was previously purchased will be converted to dust, but any unique gear obtained in the previous season will remain as cosmetic items.
You will start with the default gear. Everyone who reached level 10 or higher in the previous season will receive a Season Rank and Season Level Prestige, ranging from Novice to Legendary, based on their level.
Zenith’s transition to free-to-play and introduction of a new game mode
Zenith, the largest VR MMORPG, underwent significant changes to its business model earlier this year to overcome financial difficulties. Developed by Ramen VR, Zenith: The Last City was initially a paid game when it was released in early 2022. However, the studio recorded losses, prompting the switch to a partially free-to-play model.
The original main game, Zenith: The Last City, remains available as paid DLC, while a new game called Zenith: Infinite Realms has been introduced as a procedurally generated action-adventure RPG with co-op gameplay.
