CycleBar brings Mixed Reality cycling workouts to Meta Quest 3

Xponential+, a digital fitness platform that offers live and on-demand workouts from global health and wellness franchisor Xponential FitnessThis week, the launch of a new feature called ‘CycleBar’ for the Quest 3 mixed reality (MR) headset.

According to the company, the launch marks an advancement in virtual fitness, as it brings CycleBar’s rhythm-based rides into the virtual world and users’ homes through the power of mixed reality.

Garrett Marshall, President of Xponential+, stated: “The addition of indoor cycling into the Xponential+ XR app is a truly revolutionary moment for virtual fitness. With surface syncing and Meta’s body tracking capabilities, we’re able to track your physical spin bike onto the virtual bike in the class. This not only improves the immersion of the fitness experience, but ensures the rider will have a safe ride as they will have full visibility of their bike while in class.”

Marshall stated that when combined with the enthusiasm and energy of the CycleBar instructors during the rides, our users will truly feel as if they have been transported to one of our dynamic indoor cycling studios.

Xponential+ announced that the CycleBar XR experience is adaptable to any stationary spin bike. By utilizing the Quest 3‘s innovative mixed reality passthrough, riders can be immersed in lifelike CycleBar studio settings and have their preferred instructors virtually present in their own space. This platform provides workouts led by renowned CycleBar instructors, intensifying the immersive experience for users. The sessions, ranging from 10 to 20 minutes, accommodate various workout schedules.

CycleBar has recently become a part of the Xponential+ Quest 3 app, along with other brands like Xponential, Club Pilates, Pure Barre, and StretchLab. The app was initially introduced in November. Visit their website to learn more.
