HTC VIVE, a supplier of high-quality virtual and mixed reality (VR/MR) hardware and software solutions, alongside Virtualware, an XR solutions provider based in Europe, have just declared the opening of their inaugural Enterprise Simulation Lab at the HTC VIVE Americas Headquarters situated in Berkeley, California.
The organizations originally revealed their alliance in October of the previous year. This recent opening signifies the commencement of their collaborative endeavors for 2025, reflecting what both firms describe as a collective goal to expedite the integration of immersive technologies within the Americas marketplace.
The Enterprise Simulation Lab is a facility crafted to demonstrate the capabilities of HTC VIVE’s VR/MR technology and hardware in conjunction with VIROO, Virtualware’s enterprise XR software solution. VIROO offers businesses and institutions secure access to immersive technology via public or private cloud services or through on-premise server infrastructures. The platform features multiple pre-configured applications for users, in addition to resources for developers to design, manage, and distribute their own custom multi-user XR simulation and digital twin applications.
Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the new lab serves as a venue for immersive demonstrations that enable enterprises and institutions to harness the advantages of immersive learning, workforce training, and industrial development, as per HTC VIVE.
“This newly established Enterprise Simulation Lab in Berkeley is not merely a showcase—it signifies the commencement of a transformative pathway for how institutions and enterprises engage with immersive learning and training. We are eager to witness how this alliance will influence the future of XR in 2025 and beyond,” stated Daniel O’Brien, President of HTC VIVE Americas.
The HTC VIVE and VIROO Enterprise Simulation Lab represents the initial phase of a wider strategy among HTC VIVE and Virtualware to speed up the global acceptance of enterprise XR solutions. HTC VIVE further mentioned that this partnership strengthens both companies’ unified vision of fostering innovation and creating avenues for organizations to thrive sustainably through engaging training methodologies.
“The significance of immersive education and workforce training is on the rise as universities, colleges, and vocational institutions, often augmented by governmental and economic development bodies, pursue advanced tools to equip the upcoming generation,” remarked John A. Cunningham, President of Virtualware USA.
HTC VIVE indicated that as both entities persist in developing their partnership, the Enterprise Simulation Lab will lay the groundwork for collaborative initiatives that aim to spur innovation and meet the changing demands of the XR ecosystem.
