DPVR, a company based in Shanghai that specializes in virtual reality (VR) hardware and software solutions, has announced a new strategic partnership with LAI Games, a leader in interactive entertainment and arcade gaming solutions.
The partnership will result in the development of a unique arcade VR device named ‘Virtual Rabbids,’ an immersive VR roller coaster experience that merges DPVR’s VR arcade technology with engaging gameplay designed by LAI Games.
Created in collaboration with Ubisoft, Virtual Rabbids effectively combines motion simulation with DPVR’s E4 ArcadeX headset, which features a 4K resolution display and a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring “crisp, vibrant visuals and smooth motion that bring every virtual scenario to life,” as stated by DPVR.
This Virtual Rabbids experience integrates on-screen visuals with synchronized haptic feedback delivered via a motion platform. Weighing only 285 grams, the E4 ArcadeX headset is designed for comfort during prolonged gameplay, enhancing players’ overall immersion. Additionally, its touchless payment system simplifies operations for location-based entertainment (LBE) and arcade operators.

The company also mentioned that the Virtual Rabbids arcade experience will be made available exclusively through DPVR and LAI Games.
